Am I the Devil?!
I've mused to myself in the past about my 26th birthday. It falls on June 6th, 2006. It's 06/06/06. Within the last week this date has gained massive momentum in the news as many things - all related to satan, the enemy, the beast, and other random things. While women in the past have actually called me a sasquatch, I've never been accused of being quite a beast, but I'm quite surprised by this. I mean, sure, it can be construed as 6/6/6, or 666, but it's really 06/06/2006. You really have to mangle the numbers to make it what you want it. What's 06/06/06? It's my birthday, and other people's birthdays, and nothing more than that.
So unless the earth opens up, bequeaths me a pitch fork; and I turn red and grow horns tomorrow morning on 06/06/06 at 6:06:06 AM, I'm under the assumption that 06/06/06 will be like any other birthday I've ever had. I'm actually writing about it because of the media attention, and as a gentle nudge to all of my friends who've always forgotten my birthday in the past. ;-)
So, onto random crap - here are some things I found really amusing about 06/06/2006:
Ambassadors Minitries wants June 6th, 2006 to be a "violent day of worship" and says "We believe that the plans the enemy has for this date (June 6, 2006) will be destroyed through violent worship and praise". Violence is not the answer. We should, however, celebrate my birthday with some tasty cake :-) Oh yeah!
The movie The Omen is being released on June 6th, 2006, and is all about being a horror flick, right? So, the rerelease is really all about getting cash from the date it's being released. Seriously, if the movie was actually scary, it'd come in a human-skin-bound DVD case with genuine human flesh inside. And who names their child Damian, anyway? That's just asking for it.
The City of Hell, Michigan is "heating up" for a party tomorrow. You can apparently buy a deed to one square inch of hell for guess.... yeah, $6.66 - cute.
