phydiux.com TAHB Members: The new TAHB is up. Welcome to the homepage of Scott Glassbrook. I use this domain name as a way to show people who I am, and what I do through the various websites that I've created and the programs that I have developed while spending time on the Internet. It's also used to keep my family and friends up-to-date on what's going on in my life, if that interests them ;-) I also use this site as a way to explain some of the things I've created for use on the Internet, or in real life. I like to fabricate, modify, and tinker. Everything. All the time. You should see my workshop. Current News --11/17/07 - Moving-- The server has been up and down a lot lately - I've been moving servers to a new location, and I have been working on getting a new network squared away in the new location. So, things have been a little bit rocky. And, once I moved my server to my new location, I started having issues with it and wanted to clean it up a bit. Technically, I'm not a Systems Administrator anymore. But, you wouldn't know it - I've been spending a lot of time working on getting a new server organized and things transferred over to it. There may be some hiccups along the way - please be patient :-) --07/12/06 - Changes-- So yeah, lots of changes going on right now. Really, there's just a whole bunch of stuff happening in my life. I'm working on the Talon every once in a whle, but I haven't really been able to get a whole bunch of stuff done. Progress is happening, but it's slow. Why? Because I just got done Moving all my stuff into a new house, and I'm currently working on the garage to get it ready for the Talon. Last weekend, I spent the whole weekend running around like an idiot looking for some clear coat to cover the blue-gray epoxy that I laid down on the garage floor. No better time to coat a garage floor than when it's new. The unfortunate part is the amount of time and money spent doing it. The Epoxy I used was ~$200 for four gallons, and the clearcoat was just under that. I used two gallons of that. All in all, I'm very happy with how the floor turned out, but I'm so done spending money on the house ;-p Let's hope that it holds up. So yeah, now it's time to move the shop to the house, too. Other than that, I've only got something going on every week. It's a bit nuts! In any case, if you're interested, check out my news archive... I run a Gamut of sites - that's why phydiux.com is the Internet Conglomerate (that was really a test for search engines more than anything else.) Included in those sites are: ColdFusion I've started a few projects written in ColdFusion that I've decided to make available to other people. The first of these is a ColdFusion based image gallery called FusionGallery. It's free, so check it out :-) I've also written a few user defined functions that I've made available through CFLib - they include getFirstDateThisQuarter, ip4R and isMod10. In addition to those, I've also done some of the following using Coldfusion: My Sites The following Soundboards were created by me: The Bill Lumbergh Soundboard and The Adam Sandler Soundboard. GeekedAbout - a place to store bookmarks, create a blog entry, chat with other geeks, see the latest in geek news (aggregated all the time from a bunch of sources on the Internet) and rate and comment the latest news. There's some neat methodologies behind the site, so if you get a chance, go check it out :-) Eagle Talon .net - I'm in the middle of building a RWD drag car from my 1991 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD. I've put a four-link rear end in it, complete with roll cage, powerglide, and 850bhp(est.) worth of the 4g63 power. It's an ongoing project :-) Schpider - the Spam News Aggregator - Schpider is a news aggregator site (my first) that gets spam news from various sources on the Internet, and displays it all on schpider.com. It's constantly being updated. Humoro.us - a humorous look at life - okay, so this is one of the lamer sites I have - it's in desparate need of a new layout, and some new things. It's a good domain name though :-) 420a.com - home of TAHB - This is a super secret gang of 420a owners ready to tear you a new one! Really though, it's a group of guys who can't stand Really Dumb messageboards, so they've banded together and put a bunch of really technical stuff in one place. :-) FasterThanYou - This used to be a performance-oriented page - right now it's under reconstruction. Spelunca - Find Something Else - This is a great resource that I threw together one weekend - find ZIP codes, telephone information, city information and other search results. It's very experimental, but it works well when you're using a cell phone to try to find information. Weinr - I'm sort of a food buff. Well, I should really say that I really like food - Anyway, sometimes I post about the food I watch on TV or prepare for myself. This page hosts those thoughts and musings. My Family Shopguy.net - My father's site. He runs it, but I host it. Locked In The Attic - My brother Wayne's site. He runs it, but I host that, too :-) Liquid Waffle Girl - My sister Jill's blog. I don't think she had a blog other than that ;-p Buick Horsepower - My step-dad is the guy behind Buickhorsepower - ever year he throws a great drag racing event for Buick powered cars.
